Deficit Irrigation-Nutrient Coupling on Growth, Yield, Fruit Quality and Water Use Efficiency of Indian Jujube

نویسندگان

چکیده

Sustainability of quality fruit production in Indian jujube is adversely affected by improper irrigation and nutrient management. A field study comprising four levels (drip at 0.8, 0.6 0.4 pan evaporation (E0) surface 1.0 IW/CPE with 50 mm depth) three (100% RDF, 75% RDF+25% RDF as vermicompost 50% RDF+50% vermicompost) was conducted during 2018-19 (11 months) on plant. Results showed that tallest tree (3.72 m), greatest circumference (0.32 maximum fruits tree-1 (563), highest weight (15.5 g) yield (8.42 kg) were recorded drip 0.8 E0 100% RDF. Minimum growth, components found vermicompost. Seasonal ETa 373.6, 409.4 446.4 for 0.4, E0, respectively 694 irrigation. Maximum CWUE 18.87 g mm-1 obtained About 55.7-75.5% water saved irrigations which could bring an additional area 55.5-85.8% under irrigated jujube. Highest predicted 9.02 kg accomplished 278 water. This model approach serve a good guideline to potential decision relation limited growers the Indo-Gangetic plains or similar agro-climatic regions.

Effect of deficit irrigation on crop growth, yield and quality of onion in subsurface drip irrigation

Indiahas the largest area under onion (Allium cepa) crop but its average productivity (14.21 t ha-1) is considerably lower than the world’s average of 19.4 t ha-1. Besides low productivity, irrigation efficiencies are also very low i.e. 30-35% in India. Managing onion crop with less than adequate irrigation water availability is a challenge in several parts of the country. Options of i) deficit...
